What do you think?

Is it right to add your boss as your friend on myspace?

I don't have a myspace account because the whole site pretty much freaks me out and I've been witness to how "stalkerish" people get on it, so I'm probably coming at this with a bias, but I don't think it's the most flattering idea to be "friends" with your boss on that site. Even if you're friends with your boss in "real life" (real life referring to outside of the Internet, where you socialize outside of work), it's hard for me to view myspace in a light where it would make me comfortable. I've heard how seriously people take everything they see when browsing the site and it just seems like it would be unprofessional, for lack of a better word.

Is it hypocritical to think it's fairly neutral if one hangs out with their boss on the weekends, but it's bothersome if they're Internet "friends"? I don't know...I guess it could be argued either way...Maybe someone who actually has a myspace and is more familiar with it than myself could bring clarity to the topic, but for me the idea of having a page to begin with--let alone being friends with your boss on it--isn't appealing.
